whirlwind weekend

As I wrote the other day, I came back from my work trip to the shock of seeing how much my grandfathers health had gone down hill.  Things have been really hard ever since and I spent a good deal of my weekend helping out my family.

I had Thursday and Friday off work, I had hoped to accomplish a lot for my wedding and though I did get a few things done, I knew there were other things that were more important.  Thursday night I spent some quality time with Andrew since we hadn't been together for five days.  Friday morning I ran my errands, did the grocery shopping and headed to my grandparents to spend the night.  I was so worried that something bad would happen while I was there, but thankfully it didn't.  He finally slept through the night without becoming restless and hallucinating.

Saturday morning I woke up and headed home to get ready for my bachelorette party, which was just what I needed after a stressful week away and a stressful weekend with my family.  We had a pretty low-key night, went out to dinner and to one bar where they have dueling pianos and you can request songs to be played.

I have always been good at ruining a photo!

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends supporting me through this important time in my life.  I am sad that some of my friends couldn't make it last night, but all in all it was a good time.

Today I'm finishing up some wedding stuff and taking a break around 4:15pm to watch the Steelers game!  One more week till I'm a Mrs.!!!!!!!!
