Closing a chapter

Today is the last day I will sit at this desk and type a blog.....its my last day at Baker Creative and it really seems crazy. I start my new job at US Cargo on Monday, August 4th and I am both nervous and excited.

Its strange to think I have been here a whole year, it really doesn't seem that long ago that I started this job at that things went nuts at Coldwell Banker, but its time for me to move on and take the skills I have gained to another job where I can use them and build them more. I know that I made the right choice, but its just hard because I really do love it here. I know my boss and I will keep in touch after I leave, but its just a lot to think about right now.

I am glad Andrew is coming over tonight so that I won't be able to just sit around and think about how I will miss this place. I should be happy that this job opened so many doors for me and that it made me more well rounded in my skill set.

So enough about all that, time to finish cleaning out my desk!

We were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy

So this weekend was pretty good. My Aunt was here from Toledo, it was good to see her since it had been a year. She brought me some clothes for my new job, but most of them were too big, which is good bc eventhough I have been lax about working out I have not gained back much weight! Sunday we had a nice family dinner then I went to see Andrew for a bit. We went fishing at a new spot, Prairie Oaks ponds. Apparently it was an old quarry that was donated to the parks department. We caught a lot of little bluegills and lost most of our bait bc the fish were too small to really stay on the hook....little buttheads!

Monday I spent the day in Zanesville with my parents, which was nice. They are both on vacation this week. We went to Gabriel Bro's (my fave store) and I got some clothes for my new job! Ann Taylor loft jeans for $14 which is a steal, some cute tops, a new bra and some shoes for $1, amazing deals! We went to a few antique stores afterwards and then headed back to Columbus.

Andrew has his drug test and physical today for Frito Lay, so hopefully that goes well! I am looking forward to both of us starting new chapters in our lives, new jobs and a possible move soon! Its a really exciting time. I am anxious to go back to school in the fall, next week I go and schedule my classes and get everything in order bc my advisor is on vacation right now. Although I am sad that I am not done yet, its really okay with me and I am just glad to have the opportunity to go to college in the first place. Not everyone gets done in time and most that don't never go back, I know I am not the only one who has had some bumps in the road so its fine with me. I have plenty of loving friends and family who support me and an amazing boyfriend who has always believed in me, no matter what! I am so grateful for him each and every day!!!

Well I think thats all for now, this is my last week at my old job! I start at US Cargo on Monday August 4th!!!!

And things change again!

So just as I was ready to face the fact that Andrew didn't get the job at Frito-Lay the guy calls him yesterday while we're out fishing asking him to go get a DOT physical and take a drug test, assuming all goes well (which we know it will) they will hire him on! So now its looking like we will live on the East Side of town!

We looked at some houses online last night in Pataskala, Reynoldsburgh, Pickerington and Summit Station so we are going to drive by them this weekend and see which ones we want to see in person with our amazing realtor (thank goodness for your dad Caitlyn!!).

I am glad this all worked out, I didn't really want to be all the way in West Jefferson, 35 mins from work and 40 mins from school....just too much driving on my old old car!

So wish us luck with the house hunting :)

Looking better each day

I know I mentioned this frequently when I had my other blog, but Andrew is the best! Things have been so amazing the last nearly 6 months that we have been official and the almost 8 months that I have known him!! For the first time I feel relieved that I don't have to keep on looking for love, I don't think I will have to ever again! Last night we were on the phone for at least 2-3 hours talking about the "green house" as we call it. Its looking up for us to buy the place, well Andrew would buy it and I would be his "glorified, somewhat secret roommate." He has his review at work soon, and he should get a good raise, more that $2 an hour and with that he would be able to afford the house. It might be tight till spring when his car is paid off, but I know together we can make it happen!

I am going to put a link to the listing on here if you wanna check it out! This is the house!!
Let me know what you think about it!

I am anxious to start my new job soon and have some more money at the end of each month. I'd like to save for a bit and then move in with Andrew come the fall. I think I can survive a little longer at home!!

Well all for today!

Weekend

So this weekend has been good....Friday was another night with Andrew. We went to good old Subway for dinner (we are trying not to eat awful food so much right now) so I figure thats healthy! Took a nice 3-5 mile bike ride around West Jefferson and looked at our "dream house." I think Andrew is kinda scared to take the step to buy something and make the commitment to stay in that little town so idk whats going to happen....I'm trying not to think about it too much, but its hard because this house is beautiful!

Yesterday I worked at 3 Belles from 2ish till 7. It was busy at first but then things slowed down and I marked down clothes and such to waste time. After that I met Jess at the Marcus to see Batman.....holy smokes was that an AMAZING movie!!! I won't give too much away, but its pretty dark and kinda messed up but totally amazing! Go see it if you can, I am going to see it again on Tuesday probably with Andrew. After that I just came home and lounged around the house bc the popcorn made me feel ill.

Today its my Grandpa's bday dinner at 3:30 then who knows what after that.....I am off work tomorrow so that will give me some time to get things organized for the week ahead!

I also got a new checking account....its funny that it makes me excited, but I guess that is what getting old does to us. 23 and thats all I have to get excited about its my Chase Free Checking Leasure Rewards Account......hahahaha!

Well I guess thats it for now.....time for a lazy morning!

Back again

So I had to delete my old account, someone hacked into it and changed my password, but once I figured it all out I decided to make a new blog.....lets just hope no one random finds it again.....long long long story.....

Sooo anyways. Life is decent right now, just got a full time job and I will be starting on August 4th. School is coming along, I go back part-time as a continuing studies student in September and I am looking forward to that. Andrew and I are still going strong, getting close to the 6 month mark right now at the beginning of August. Still looking at houses and the one we loved in West Jefferson just had another price reduction, I think its meant to be.

Still living at home for the time being.....not too sure how exciting thats been but whatever....it will have to do for now.

Last night Andrew and I hung out, went out to dinner at Hooters (yeah yeah I know but they do have really good food) and took a motorcycle ride out to his family cemetary, which there is not much left of. It was probably one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Most of the headstones are destroyed and you would never even know the place was there if you drove by the place. His relatives were some of the first to settle on the South side of what is now Rt. 40 or W. Broad St.; they all came here from Delaware to farm. It would be nice if his family was able to fix it up, they do have a rock with all the names of those buried there in a cemetary not too far from the original one.

Well thats all for now! More another day, I should probably do something productive at work right now.
