A wonderful summer weekend

The weather in Columbus was mostly amazing and it made for a great summer weekend!  I've been determined to have as much fun this summer as possible and since I've been feeling so wonderful I've been able to do more than I imagined.

On Friday night I went to a concert with one of my good friends from high school.  The Under the Sun Tour came to Columbus and included many of my favorite 90's bands Vertical Horizon, Fastball, Gin Blossoms, Sugar Ray and Smashmouth.  The bands were awesome (though we did leave before Smashmouth, the last band because we didn't want to sit in traffic on the way home) and we danced the night away and even met a local radio DJ celebrity!  It was a great night for great music and having fun with an old friend photobombing the drunk people next to us, dancing around like fools and singing our hearts out.

Such a fun night with a great friend!

Saturday morning we headed to an auction about 10 minutes from our house, thankfully most of it was held indoors because we were dodging rain drops most of the day.  We managed to get a few good finds and headed home around 1:30 to get ready for a big family dinner.  My great aunt is here visiting from Florida and Andrews parents invited her, my grandma and my parents up to their house for dinner.  We had a great time walking around Andrew's mom's prairie, having a lovely dinner together and sharing lots of stories.  Thankfully the rain cleared up before we headed up to their house and the weather ended up being amazing!

Sunday morning we did our typical go to the grocery store and do laundry routine and then headed to the Ohio State Fair for most of the afternoon.  Normally the weather is horribly hot during the week of the fair, but Sunday was oh so perfect, a light breeze, about 73 degrees and partly sunny!  We enjoyed lots of yummy fair foods, got in some people watching, saw some of the animals and headed home after about 4 hours.  Everyone must have been taking advantage of the great weather because I have never seen so many people at the fair in my entire life.

My legs are killing me today after all of the standing, dancing and walking around I did all weekend, but I know that being active can only be good for me during this pregnancy.  I did make sure to drink plenty of water and try to sit down as often as I could, but I'm still feeling a little worn out.
